WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 04/29/10 -- First California Financial Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: FCAL) today announced the appointment of Bradley R. Brown as executive vice president, chief audit executive and chief risk officer of its wholly-owned subsidiary, First California Bank. Brown, 45, will oversee the audit, compliance, risk management and Bank Secrecy Act departments.
Brown comes to First California Bank with 22 years of banking experience in Southern California. Most recently, Brown was executive vice president, chief audit executive and chief risk officer for Pacific Capital Bancorp, the holding company of Santa Barbara Bank and Trust, where he oversaw regulatory examinations, internal audit, loan review, risk management, regulatory affairs and compliance and security. An 18-year veteran of Pacific Capital, Brown previously held the position of vice president and audit manager and was promoted to various positions of increasing responsibilities during his tenure. He began his banking career in 1988 as an associate auditor for Manufacturers Bank in Los Angeles. Brown received his bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, and is a graduate of BAI Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He is a certified internal auditor, certified bank auditor, certified financial services auditor and certified risk professional.
